Website & Branding

Futureproof

In order for the UK to meet our zero-carbon emission goals by 2050 we need to make sure that our houses are as sustainable as possible. After all, 15% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions are through the use of oil and gas for heating and hot water for homes. How can we improve this?

Future Proof provide services and training that help homeowners and builders in the West of England to refurbish and improve homes with confidence and a low carbon footprint. They are a sustainable initiative run by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. We have completed a rebrand of their identity and given their website a complete overhaul.

We designed the logo to feel more contemporary and give Futureproof an identity which established them in the Bristol and South West area. We also created a collection of brand elements inspired by the shape and colour of these houses that we have used throughout the website as menu items, bespoke roll-over elements and playful icons. It’s these fun graphic elements that helped to tackle the issues of website navigation and communication which Futureproof were struggling with before.

A website scope was completed to identify key issues as well as surveys conducted with customers to hear about their experiences. Our objectives for the website redesign was to ensure the site had a more professional, streamlined, responsive and user-friendly experience. After designing the look and feel of the site it was passed on to our developer who we worked with closely to build the site on the WordPress content management system.

“As always, the Greenhat team made this project a breeze.

From the outset, Andy, Dan and Paddy really understood the service and what our audience needed from the site, and presented solutions and ideas to help us improve at every stage.

Often the plans at design stage aren’t translated into the final website build, so it was almost a shock to see the stunning concepts they presented become the final website, with no compromises between functionality and design.

The most unbelievable part was how tight the team kept to the delivery plan, right up to launch, every element was delivered on time as planned. Unheard of!

We couldn’t be happier with the final result, a beautifully designed website, optimised for our users, with easy to use features and functionality that do exactly what we need them to.

11/10 Start to finish!”
