Global Canopy

Forest 500 is a Global Canopy project that identifies and ranks the most influential companies and financial institutions in the race towards a deforestation-free global economy. We created a range of graphic elements and infographics which were used in their 2018 Annual Report. These have also been animated and used as social media assets to highlight key issues and statistics. Most recently we’ve created an animated template that can be re-used for their Social Media featuring high quality videos and dynamic content transitions.

Deforestation-free pathway infographic

Incredibly just 500 companies, investors and political leaders worldwide have the power to dramatically reduce deforestation if they switch to sustainable production, procurement and financing. The above infographic designed for the 2018 Annual Report shows the different areas that need attention in order to achieve a deforestation-free supply chain. This was also animated for sharing on social media (see below).

The key areas and commodities affecting deforestation include meat, palm oil, soy, timber and paper. The animated infographic below shows how the commitments of the companies signed up to Forest 500 have changed between 2014 and 2018.
