PDF Report and Microsite

Forest 500 identifies the 350 companies and 150 financial institutions with the greatest exposure to tropical deforestation risk, and annually assesses them on the strength and implementation of their deforestation and human rights commitments. Each year they publish a report which highlights where companies need to do more. We have worked with them for a number of years (view here) but 2022 is the first year we have produced a microsite alongside their PDF report.

The urgent need to protect nature and end deforestation was at the centre of plans to deliver on global climate targets at the COP26 conference in Glasgow in 2021. Governments, companies and financial institutions all pledged significant action. The Forest 500 ranking system provides vital data on organisations that have made commitments, and highlights the many companies and financial institutions that are still ignoring the issue altogether.

We produced a PDF report which followed the styling we have developed over the years. The visuals in the report use a mix of powerful imagery and align with key facts and figures throughout.

We used a number of creative charts and infographics within the report to highlight key statistics in an engaging way.

Forest 500 Microsite

The microsite was a new feature added this year to make the content more accessible. We designed and developed the site to be easy to navigate and responsive for all devices. We used images and graphics from the PDF report alongside a simple layout to present the results of this years findings and recommendations for years to come.The site was developed in wordpress using a responsive template. The CMS allowed the client to edit the content as needed.
